The blessing in all of this is that there is no heart damage and dad doesn't have heart disease. His heart is very strong and healthy, all things considered. So all of this can be fixed with open heart surgery which is scheduled for next Friday in Spokane. The doctors think he will respond well and recover quickly. Dad is doing well, now that he is past the shock of it all, and feeling very optimistic. I think he is looking forward to renewed energy, and thankful to have some explanations for his lack of "gumption" over the last few years.
We covet your prayers for my dad, Dick Mortieau, and for Jeff and I as we decide how we can help and be involved.

We'll be praying!
I have only seen this man a few times in the 14 years I have known you, but I love him because I love you. We will pray he heals quickly and so thankful his heart figured out a new path. Please don't feel that you can't share what hurts you have just bc of my situation. I always want to know how you are.
We will be praying for you and for him. Have a safe trip, Melississita.
you know he is in our prayers as well. if he needs anything you know all you have to do is call us...we can be there in a couple hours.
Love, MT Mom
Praying for your Dad, and you.
