Sick?

We stayed home all day Sunday after all three of us were feeling crummy on Saturday night. We all slept in, one of us took good naps, and the other two of us watched movies and vegged. We must have been feeling better by the end of the day though. We were all three snuggled on the couch and being silly!

What she is up to

Here are a few pics to bring you up to speed on how McKinley is doing these days!
She loves, loves, loves this yellow punching ball. She shrieks with delight every time she sees it.
Unfortunately, McKinley finally found the stairs. She completely ignored them until about a week ago. Now she darts for them every time I turn my back! She even crawled up three or four on her own! (Yes I was there watching... just wanted to see how far she'd get!)
And finally, this is what I see most days. She pulls up on everything, on the coffee table, on the couch, on the basket of laundry I am folding. It is sweet though... she is so proud of herself! I know she'll be walking soon. She can walk pretty well while holding onto our hands. It won't be long!!!

We are having so much fun! This is a great stage and McKinley is such a sweet girl. She even likes to cuddle with me now! Yippee!

McKinley is 11 months

Yes folks... it's true. We are a mere 3 weeks and 2 days from a first birthday. It is astonishing at the very least!!! McKinley is 11 months old, and has changed so much in the last few weeks. Here is what she is up to:

You blow kisses... so, so cute

You eat everything you can get your hands on
You weigh over 17 lbs now
You like to "talk"... loudly : )
You point at everything
You love to smell flowers

You are fascinated by trees
You are sleeping from 6:30/7pm to 6:30/7am most days
You are only waking up once at night
You have pretty much weaned yourself completely
You are a happy girl!

We love you McKinley! The last 11 months have been the best of our lives and we are so excited to see what the future brings for you. I have all confidence that you will grow into a lovely woman some day!
